Dental Implants Procedure

FIVE STEPS TO RESTORING YOUR SMILE

THE PROCEDURE

Before we undertake any dental work for you we need to ensure that you are reasonably comfortable with the procedure and that the treatment will match your expectations.

We follow a five step process to ensure that we understand your needs and requirements fully.

1. CLINICAL ASSESSMENT

The first step in the process will be an assessment appointment with one of our dentists; Dr. Richard Snoad.

During this appointment we will discuss with you all aspects of your dental and medical history. We may also take x-rays of your mouth.

By treating you with consideration we will understand your requirements and look at all the dental treatment options available to you. Sometimes a C-T Scan will need to be arranged off the premises.

2. YOUR PERSONAL TREATMENT PLAN

Following your initial assessment appointment we will then give you our proposal. This will detail our discussions during the meeting and the treatment plans that we have proposed. We will also give a full breakdown of costs and if needed details of our finance plans.

3. TREATMENT DAY

When your treatment day arrives you may feel nervous and apprehensive. We will do our best to ensure that you feel comfortable and at ease. For some nervous patients we can provide a sedative to help them feel less anxious and more relaxed.

Throughout your treatment we will always ensure that you are comfortable and we are known for doing this. The Implants are best placed under local anaesthetic and this will feel similar to having a filling. You will be awake but it will not be painful.

4. HEALING TIME

Which implant work for which you have opted for will affect your healing time. We will have discussed this with you thoroughly during your initial consultation so that you are aware of any further appointments that need to be made. Any post-operative care will also be discussed with you.

5. YOUR NEW TEETH

Your new tooth or teeth will be made specifically for you to give you back your smile. Our experienced Dental Technicians work with the most up to date materials to ensure you the very best in quality and care.

Our current Implant Technician has worked with both us and our new surgeon for many years. The final restoration is only fitted when both you and us are happy.
